Terms of service

The service

ChessPuzzles.ai analyzes public chess games and turns selected positions into guided practice. By creating an account or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these terms. Contact support@chesspuzzles.ai if you need help.

Engine analysis is bounded by time and computing resources. A stated search depth is a target, not a guarantee that every position reaches that depth. Computer evaluations and the move explanations built from them can be mistaken. Practice is designed to support learning; we do not promise a particular rating increase or result.

One monthly plan

The monthly plan is $9.99 USD, plus any taxes shown at checkout. It includes analysis of up to 20 games per day, access to your puzzle library and filters, guided practice and review scheduling. The number of puzzles depends on the games analyzed; a game may contain no suitable training positions.

The free introduction analyzes up to 5 games per username once. A new account also gets 15 days of the monthly plan’s practice, analyzing up to 5 new games per day, without payment details; it ends on its own and never turns into a paid subscription. Afterwards the account keeps the puzzles from its latest 5 games. Checkout shows the price and renewal terms before payment.

Renewal, cancellation and payment problems

Your subscription renews monthly until you cancel. You can manage cancellation from your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal, and access normally continues through the paid period. If a renewal payment fails, paid access continues for two days and then pauses until the payment goes through.

If you believe you were charged incorrectly or the service did not work as described, contact support with the account email and receipt. Refund requests are reviewed according to the circumstances and applicable consumer rights. Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

We will provide notice of material subscription changes before they apply to a future renewal. You can cancel before that renewal if you do not accept the change.

Your account and acceptable use

Keep your sign-in access secure and provide accurate billing information. You must be old enough to use the service under applicable rules; the service is not intended for children under 13. Only submit information you are entitled to use.

Do not bypass quotas or payment controls, misuse another person’s account, interfere with the service, or use analysis to violate the fair-play rules of a chess platform. Access may be restricted to investigate abuse, protect accounts or meet legal requirements. Contact support if you believe a restriction is a mistake.

Your data and service content

You permit us to process the information you submit as needed to provide the service. This is not a transfer of ownership of your personal information or an unrestricted license to sell it. Our privacy policy explains account data, game retrieval, providers and requests for access or deletion.

Third-party software and content remain subject to their respective licenses and terms. Chess.com and Lichess are independent services; ChessPuzzles.ai is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Availability and changes

We maintain and improve the service, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability or error-free analysis. If something is wrong, contact support so we can investigate. These terms do not exclude responsibilities that applicable law requires us to retain.

When these terms change, we will update the date on this page and provide notice of material changes as required. Subscription cancellation and account deletion are separate requests.
